Credit books (Discount credit books), 1835-1860.

This series consists of credit books, which are another method of keeping track of the notes which the Branch Bank discounted. Included are the account name; the date of discount; the names of the payer; endorser and discounter; the amount due by the payer, endorser and discounter; and the date when the amounts are due. The credit books are divided into city and county credit books. Some books include the amount paid by the first, second and third drawer. Also referred to as "discount credit books," and "county discount books," and "city discount books."
